About 1st Baptist of Franklin

WHO WE ARE

We are a congregation with a long history whose hearts and minds are focused on what God is doing through us in the present. He is blessing us with a new vitality and a renewed sense of His presence at work among us. Worship is a joyous and exciting experience for us and serving Him is a rewarding and satisfying adventure that continues to lead us forward in our faith. The Lord has been transforming us to be more accessible to Him and more available to others. You will find, as you come through the doors of our church, a joyous people who are blessed by God, and, because of that, who are a blessing to others. Join us this Sunday and see for yourself!

WHAT WE BELIEVE IN

We believe in God who knows you personally, because he created you, whose holiness and righteousness require a holy and righteous people, and therefore the Father sent the Son through the Holy Spirit, to come to earth and become a man in order that he might live a perfect life enabling him to die a vicarious death and then rise again in victory over sin and death.

We believe that God caused the Bible to be written, so we may know how much he loves us, that he sent Jesus to call us to repentance, to forgive us, and to prepare a place for all who come to Him in faith, confidence, commitment, and love.

We believe that God speaks to us and to world through His Church, where His Word is spoken in warning and in love, in encouragement and in confidence.

We believe that we will meet Jesus face to face in His Eternal Kingdom, when our life here is accomplished.

We believe in cooperating with our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, regardless of which church they attend, to serve our community and reach the lost with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

In this Faith we live in obedience, in witness to the world, and in the confidence that God will right every wrong, heal every hurt, and comfort every sorrow, that He grieves when we grieve, rejoices when we rejoice, and glories in our love for one another.
